Lin Shen and Bart looked at the statue in the beam of light and were both astonished, for the statue's appearance was exactly the same as the one in the church.

However, the church's statue was in a state of disrepair, while the one in the beam of light was dazzlingly brilliant, radiating a holy luminescence all over.

"So this is the true appearance of that statue?" Lin Shen had initially been startled by the sight of the statue because it was marred and, coupled with the gloomy setting of the church, it also seemed rather sinister.

"What you've obtained is yours, keep it, don't let outsiders see it," said Lin Shen. Although he was very curious about the Ascension Egg, he really couldn't bear to snatch away Yun's item.

"Then you hold onto it for me. If I keep it, I'm afraid it will be stolen," Yun immediately stuffed the Ascension Egg into Lin Shen's hands, not allowing any refusal.

"Are you sure you have thought this through? The price the Star Lord is willing to offer would tempt you. The teleporter won't activate until you return, so it won't be much of a delay," An Zhifeng said, resorting to carrot and stick tactics.

If they didn't go, the teleporter wouldn't be activated, and they would not be able to leave.

"No matter how high the price, we do not have the authority to sell this Ascension Egg. If the Lord wishes to buy it, he should contact my master directly," Lin Shen said, showing a card to An Zhifeng.

The card was a pass given to him by Lord Tian Xun, unlike ordinary passes, this one was the highest level of pass from Lord Tian Xun's possession, representing Tian Xun himself, complete with her personal seal.

The person who has it is a close confidant of Tian Xun from Giant Ring Star."

"So what if they're Tian Xun's people, this is our turf. Kill them and take the Ascension Egg back; how would Tian Xun know?" If Tian Xin and Tie were here, they would recognize this Celestial as the one who arrogantly blocked Tian Xin's vehicle, only to have his own vehicle smashed to smithereens.

"That might not be possible. They have a high-tech communicator, and the message has likely already been sent back to Tian Xun," An Zhifeng said helplessly.

An Zhifeng let out a long sigh of relief; he certainly did not want to take the blame for the young master.
