Chapter 1344 Deeper Intel
Evelyn was impatient for the answer.
She was very confused about the whole ordeal about the Angels.
If the traitor Angels were going against Void and his heaven—she could not understand why Eryndor or the other traitor Angels were keeping their purpose of coming here a secret, isn't it supposed to be better to involve the other races?
For some time, she had been contemplating the answer to that question.
Knowing what was about to happen to Rex, she dedicated her entire purpose—to identifying all the threats that might deliver the final blow, and the Angels, are definitely included. It was true that Rex might be focusing on the Fourthborn but she needs to be versatile.
Now that she knew the answer, Evelyn couldn't help but lean back on her sofa.
"He wanted to be the new Origin? How is that even possible?" She uttered.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Becoming the Origin of a race is not a position someone aspires to become, it's not a position that could be reached as if breaking through to a realm, nor is it a title that could be won, in a fight—an Origin is the symbol of the beginning.
An entity that symbolizes the beginning of the entire race.
"Like I said, he wanted to become an Origin,"
"Yes, I get that but how? The Angels already had an Origin"
Eryndor understands why Evelyn is confused, the concept of an Origin is too old for her to grasp, "Of course, he couldn't be the Origin of the Angels as that would require him to turn back time and tamper with history" He leaned forward and fixed his eyes on Evelyn. "But it was not impossible for him to be the Origin of an entirely new race"
"Dark Angels..." He added hauntingly.
Upon hearing this, Evelyn's eyes widened slightly as she now understood.
She now understands where Void was coming from.
Dindora, who was also quite old herself, intervened, "Still, that is impossible"
"Nobody has ever achieved that," She added sternly.
Linthia who was also nearby was taken aback, "Someone tried to achieve it in the past?"
It was unthinkable as the Origin was basically a God for that specific race.
Personally, Linthia would never thought of harming the Fairy Origin.
"Have you ever been angry with your God, captain?" Eryndor asked with a calm tone.
Seeing that Eryndor was casting a look at her, directing the question at her, Linthia frowned and thought back to the horror in the past. She then gave a nod, "I have but it doesn't mean I'm going to harm the Origin"
"Little one, you may not but there are others who would" Eryndor chuckled. "Once you get to a certain strength, and see the world more, you will then understand that the world is a cruel place. It naturally roots out weakness in people"
He could instantly see that Linthia was young, probably not even a thousand years old.
Linthia probably still hasn't experienced her first true grief.
One that would shape her or destroy her.
Focusing back on the matter at hand, Eryndor continued, "A tenth-rank realm is impossible for your new era but tenth-rank realm mutated animals began appearing left and right, and before you know it, it doesn't seem impossible anymore"
"What are you trying to say?" Dindora asked, her gaze sharpening.
Eryndor sneered, "I'm saying that nobody has ever achieved it but someone would one day"
"So, why does Void want to be an Origin?" Evelyn intervened.
She knew about how Void came to power—Rex already told the story from Catherine but his reasoning was an entirely different matter. Someone like Eryndor, who seemed to be a high-rank Angel might be able to give the answer.
No matter what, she was going to get to the bottom of this.
Pivoting back towards Evelyn, Eryndor answered—with politeness, "The Origin had set rules for us Angels who were blessed in strength more than the other races. We would be fair and always come to the aid of the weak. In short, no Angels could think about themselves—only the welfare of the world. A truly beautiful limitation reserved for the strong but..."
"Our race perished because of that very reason and I can't deny that," He added.
Keeping track of Eryndor's microexpressions and demeanor, Evelyn noted a change.
He was extremely sad when he explained that.
"During our battles before the Supernaturals lost to the Ancient Humans—we sent our forces to help everyone in need. We kept sending our forces, helping those in need—until our Origin even needed to get involved"
"I fought along my battalion. We don't rest, it was battle after battle, until one day I realized, I was alone," Eryndor said, his tone was calm—but one could tell that he was holding all of the emotions within. "All of the Angels in my battalion died, and I'm the one that's left"
"Not long after that, our Origin died. His death turned the day to night..."
Lifting up his head after exhaling roughly, Eryndor continued, "Void thought our Origin wasn't right for giving up the Angels to help everyone—despite helping people being the core of our strength. If our Origin is the First Light, he wanted to be the First Dark"
Evelyn nodded, she could now fill the blanks with the information from Eryndor.
"Now, what is the importance of the Fifthborn's grave?" She asked.
Upon hearing this, Eryndor reaches for something in his pocket.
Seeing this, Dindora and Linthia placed their hands ready on the hilt of their weapons.
But Eryndor only took out a parchment and gave it to Dindora. Enjoy more content from empire
Accepting the parchment, Dindora checked if there was anything dangerous about it before handing it to Evelyn. Placing it on the table—Evelyn opened the parchment and found some kind of drawing.
It was shaped like a monster straight out of a kid's dream.
Evelyn could see a mouth filled with razor teeth and roots spreading from each side.
And what caught her attention was the floating dead people above it.
"Our leader got a piece of information, from an informant that the Fifthborn's grave would be a target for Void, at the top of his list. We don't know what but our leader believed that there would be a key to Void's ascension to Origin there" Eryndor—explained. "And that drawing is the key he is searching for"
Upon hearing this, Evelyn frowned.
'If Void wanted to become an Origin, he must require something and this thing is more like a monster than anything. I need to know what Void is looking for—and since someone tried in the past...' Evelyn leaned back and touched her moon earrings.
One could see a purple gas seeping out from the earrings and hovering to the side.
Maybe the ones here wouldn't recognize the gas but the Silverstar Pack would.
It was Evelyn's Luna energy.
Soon enough, the Luna energy began to take the shape of a man, it was Flunra.
"How did you do this, Luna? I've never seen this before"
"I'll tell you later. First, I want you to answer my questions"
Realizing that Evelyn had company, Flunra straightened his back and nodded his head.
"I heard that in the past, there were people who tried to become an Origin. Is that true?"
"Become an Origin? Yes, there are a lot. Only a handful tried to replace their Origin though"
"Okay, do you know the specifics of how one achieved that?"
"Hmm... the Undead would know better about this but there are a couple of Werewolves who tried, to do the same. As far as I know, to become an Origin, one would need first a backer to help them. Second, they would need a target or new race that would be their vassals. Lastly, they would need to elevate their bodies to tailor the target race to their design"
Upon hearing this, Evelyn nodded her head and shot a sweet smile, "Thank you, Flunra"
As she said that, she waved her hand and evaporated the purple gas.
"Who is that?" Eryndor asked, raising an eyebrow.
"It's a member of my pack—he came from the first generation" Evelyn, turned back towards him, and continued. "So from his explanation, this drawing could be either an energy source to elevate his body or the backer, which means this could be a God..."
Everyone in the room gasped at that revelation.
Somehow, the death of the Fifthborn created this thing in the drawing.
Rex might be accustomed to dealing with Gods but for them lesser beings, it was horrifying.
Knowing what to expect, Evelyn was quite happy with this progression.
'I could arrange a team to go and check the Symposium of Upper Divinities, this thing should be easy to find if it was this big,' Evelyn pondered, and now came the last question. "Lastly—what are Void's thoughts and intentions to us?"
Out of everything, Evelyn wanted to know this the most.
She wanted to know where Void stands towards the Clarentium Empire and Rex.
Almost instantly, the tension inside the room rose rapidly.
Everyone, not only Evelyn, fixed their gazes onto Eryndor, awaiting for his response.
"He viewed himself and the Dark Angel race as the supreme race that is owed the world—he viewed everyone as nothing but servants made to serve the Dark Angel race," Eryndor finally answered. "For now, as long as you don't get in his way, he wouldn't do anything"
"But once you did, Void would crush you and your entire empire" He added seriously.
Upon hearing this, Evelyn's expression turned grim.
It was basically another version of the Fifthborn threatening the world again.
Not to mention, Void without a doubt, had the power to threaten Rex's existence.
He already achieved the tenth-rank realm, and that alone made him the strongest.
Seeing an opportunity—Eryndor quickly proposed, "Don't cross against him and his forces or your empire would be in danger. Instead of sticking your nose, bring us to the place. Bring us to the Fifthborn's grave, we'll take care of Void and your empire wouldn't be dragged"
"I need time to think this," Evelyn said, raising her hand.
Dindora, Linthia, and the other guards stepped up to grab Eryndor and bring him away.
But as he was being pulled Eryndor didn't stop, "You have the power at this moment, there is no need to wait for the Emperor to make the decision! Just bring us there, and Void, won't be a problem for the world anymore!"
"You can't sway me with power, the Emperor will make the final call," Evelyn retorted.
She waved her hand again, forcing Eryndor and the other Angels to be brought away.
"You'll regret this!" Eryndor's voice echoed. "If you crossed his forces before that, you'll wish you'd agree with me now!"

It took longer for Kyran to find a spot for the mutated moose's carcass.
He also needed to make a protective layer so that the lizard wouldn't eat the carcass.
Because of that, he would need to catch up to Naela who was already far ahead.
Kyran found this not a problem as he could follow the scent Naela left behind, he could easily do that until he reached Naela. But what disturbed him was the face—Naela was making, she was panicking because her parents were supposedly in trouble.
He didn't know how her parents were in trouble when they were within the kingdom.
Probably at the capital city of the Dark Elf Kingdom even.
But as he followed the scent, he realized that Naela was heading to the border.
She was heading to the north border of the Dark Elf Kingdom and that made Kyran worry.
In addition to that, Kyran felt his chest tightening, a bad premonition.
'Why do I feel like I need to hurry? I'll trust my guts' He pondered.
Deciding that he would pick up his pace—to reach Naela, faster, he turned into his Werewolf form again and dashed like a shadow in the night. Knowing that the world was now crawling with powerful mutated animals, he felt like Naela would be in danger.
She might came across an Order Beast due to her being panic, and that's not good.
About fifteen minutes later, Kyran stopped in the middle of the forest.
In front of him was a short waterfall and he sensed Naela's scent coming from there.
Just then, however, Kyran saw a figure coming out of the darkness.
"A human...? No, it didn't seem like it" Kyran muttered but he frowned when he saw that the figure had bright golden eyes, and on top of that, there were wings behind the figure—pure white in color with feathers. "An Angel...?"
Realizing that it was an Angel, Kyran immediately went on guard.
Giana and Ryze were supposed to find this Angel.
However, his eyes then widened when the Angel lifted something and showed it to Kyran.
"W- What...? It can't... be"
