The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1170: Ruthless Approach (2)

Ever since the coronation happened, King Jorik already foresaw this night happening.

General Theodas also shared that insight—the cold shoulders, given to the Dark Elf Kingdom and its representatives was stark to the point that the other races noticed. It would be stupid for them not to realize the alienation.

From that, it was clear that the tragedy that happened to Evelyn was not forgotten yet.

It was a blunder on their part.

All of them failed to recognize that some Nobles were going to revolt.

Now, the kingdom was going to pay the real price for their offense.

However, even then, General Theodas was not going to let the kingdom sink because of one mistake made by ignorant nobles—the endeavor, King Jorik had made to achieve everything in the new era, he's not going to let that be a waste.

Determined, he eventually answered, "It's the Aldri Family, Bevryth Aldri is the head family"

Upon hearing this, Kyran tilted his head to the side.

"Is her family the only one?" He asked again, this time his tone was deeper.

Bowing his head even lower, General Theodas set aside his pride, knowing the person before him literally held the fate of the Dark Elf Kingdom. Kyran's decision would determine whether they are going to survive or not, "Both the Diaro, and Sanzo Families were also involved—but forgive my incompetence—I don't really know if they were the only ones involved.

Bevryth is the perpetrator, so she must know everything"

After saying that, there was a choking pause with the entire place enveloped in silence.

Feeling the tension rising, General Theodas sweated.

'Did I say something wrong...?' He pondered uneasily.

Since his head was very low to the ground—he could not see what Kyran's expression looked like—and the suspense made his heart pound rapidly in worry. Under the uncertainty, he was even ready if he suddenly got killed.

However, that didn't happen as Kyran finally moved.

Not saying anything, he turned and went to the other room with steady slow steps.

His footsteps echoed inside this abandoned house.

General Theodas raised his head slightly when he heard a door opening.

It took a moment before Kyran came back—dragging a figure by the head who seemed to be crying, and whimpering—trying to escape his clutches to no avail. Moreover—this figure was actively pleading, asking for forgiveness from Kyran but all words were ignored.

Upon taking a closer look at the figure, General Theodas couldn't hide his utter surprise.

"D- Draven...?" He uttered in absolute disbelief.

Out of the entire members of the Aldri Family—there were a few important guards, who had served the family for hundreds if not thousands of years. Amongst them—Draven stood out the most as he came from a pure and trusted bloodline.

For generations, his entire lineage has been the loyal servants of the Aldri Family.

His bloodline owed a debt, and the sons of the family inherited that debt.

None of them ever budge and bear absolute, untainted loyalty.

Additionally—Draven in particular has survived numerous familial catastrophes and is always the first in line to help, the Aldri Family survive. Even when the choice was either his son—or the family, he did not hesitate to choose the family, leaving his son to die.

Such unwavering loyalty was a precious currency for Nobles across the kingdom.

It was the most wanted trait a guard should possess.

But now, that very Draven was crying and breaking, pleading for mercy from Kyran pitifully.

He was a fraction of what he once was.

General Theodas was utterly at a loss for words, he could see that Draven had missing limbs, his eyelids were brutally removed—his skin seemed to be rotting, turning into an ashy color—and his Orb of Life was embedded into his chest but was turned completely black.

It was as if General Theodas was looking at another person right now.

Draven's transformation is that bad.

Knowing Draven, even with such torture, he wouldn't break or yield—but that was not reality.

As before him right now, Kyran proved that even the unbreakable, break.

Brak!

Paying no mind to Draven, Kyran tossed him towards General Theodas' direction.

Draven landed in front of General Theodas, sobbing submissively.

He was even avoiding making eye contact with General Theodas, ashamed of his state.

"Good thing that the rot hasn't spread wide yet," Kyran suddenly said, the sharp stench that Draven was emitting, filled the entire room. "Seems like the rot—all of it came from the Aldri Family. I better take care of them for good..."

Not hearing what Kyran was saying, General Theodas sucked in a cold breath.

He realized that he managed to avoid a disaster.

'L- Lord Kyran knew already. He already knew about everything I knew from Draven. If I did not tell the truth earlier—much less tortured like Draven, I would suffer much worse as I am the closest to King Jorik' He contemplated, feeling goosebumps prickling his skin.

Fortunately, he decided to tell the truth instead of lying to Kyran's face.

Snapping out of his daze, General Theodas focuses back on Kyran, thinking deeply.

Out of everything, he wanted to de-escalate the situation.

"Bevryth, and the other rebelling noble families don't know about your pack's power," General Theodas explained to Kyran. "All of them chose to play it safe, planning to utilize, the Imperial Empress—to negotiate with the high-rank Supernatural races, for our kingdom's return. None of them was trying to kill her, they were only trying to kidnap her"

However, this incites the wrong reaction as Kyran's expression darkens upon hearing this.

General Theodas could feel the change instantly.

"If I were you, I would keep my mouth completely shut and answer only when questioned. So what if they only wanted to kidnap her? What I'm concerned about, is the fact that—she was scarred" Kyran replied, his aura pressing onto General Theodas.

Crack!

Under the pressure, even the floor beneath General Theodas cracked.

Seeing this, Naela stepped forward and pinched Kyran's sleeve.

Upon hearing this—Kyran vanquished his pressure, before he crossed his arms, "Before I do what I am going to do—I need you to answer my last question" He said before taking a brief pause. "Beveryth, what was she like? And what is her view towards us?"

"She lived a long life, she has Elderly arrogance inside of her. As for her view—I am not sure, but she has no qualms, now that the Imperial Emperor showed his full strength by killing the Fifthborn and even surviving an attack from the Fourthborn" General Theodas replied, being as careful as he possibly could.

But then, his answer made Kyran smile as he gazed towards the main door.

Channeling his power, he forced it to open.

Brak!

Making a light swiping gesture—the main door was opened forcefully—revealing the guard, who escorted General Theodas earlier eavesdropping on their conversations. Realizing that he was found, the guard became stiff as he didn't know what to do.

"Come inside" Kyran commanded authoritatively, gesturing to come inside.

Having no other choice, the guard tremblingly stepped inside.

As he walked inside, he was surprised to see General Theodas who was always upright and strong kneeling on the ground before Kyran. He went, and knelt behind General Theodas, in wait for his purpose being called here.

Kyran went back to his seat again and asked, "Is there anything you want to add here?"

Upon hearing this, the guard's body tensed once again.

Not having any spirit to resist the question, the guard, drowned in fear, poured out his mind.

"M- Madam Bevryth..." He stutters—gluing his forehead onto the floor. "She said that—she is going to take care of the Im- Imperial Emperor, himself. I'm quite close with some of the Aldri Family's guards, and they gossiped about it"

General Theodas was at a loss for words when he heard what the guard said.

He looked at the guard in utter shock.

He knew that Bevryth was prideful—she said those words before to him too, but he couldn't believe that the guard said that to Kyran. Attacking Evelyn is one of the gravest offenses, as if that was not enough, the guard confessed that basically made the Dar Elf Kingdom a solid threat to the Silverstar Pack's sovereign.

Even though the guard was scared, he shouldn't have said that—it was another big blunder.

Realizing what had happened, the world seemed to explode in General Theodas' mind.

A haunting voice then echoed with lethal intensity, "Oh, is that so..."

"Heughk!" General Theodas choked—his throat, tightening at the comment. Pivoting around, he faced Kyran, whose aura, had grown to a menacing height. As he locked eye contact—he saw Kyran's black-steel claws elongate viciously, and his eyes shifted into two pairs of azure blue.

Playing his claws on his smirking lips, Kyran added, "Not saying everything—it's still a lie..."

"I was in the wrong!" General Theodas prostrated deeper.

He pressed his forehead against the cracked floor—ignoring the sharp fragments of the floor tiles that were stabbing his skin. "I just don't want King Jorik to be punished for something he was opposed to doing. Forgive my lie, I was pressed. Bevryth will be punished, regardless, so I thought saying that would not make a difference" He added, his voice hinting at guilt.

Even then, he seemed to be truthful now, that was his real reason.

Kyran didn't answer, he remained fixated on his seat.

But in the next second, the intense air around him vanished as he smiled, "Okay,"

"I suppose you are right, saying that wouldn't make a difference—Bevryth would be punished either way," Kyran said abruptly. "And don't worry, King Jorik won't be affected by this matter—as long as he's not a part of this that is"

After saying that, he turned to Naela, "How about I'll give you a chance to help them?"

Upon hearing this, Naela raised her eyebrows, "What do you mean?"

"I'll give you a chance to lessen the punishment for your people" He clarified.

Naela's eyes brightened and her mood changed entirely, "Hmm...?! Really?!"

"Go visit Bevryth and tell her to apologize. If she really came out with a formal apology, then I wouldn't kill her. I hope you understand that I have to punish her—however, I will not kill her if she really comes here and apologizes" Kyran replied, his smile widened at her reaction.

Out of excitement, she nodded in understanding and hugged Kyran.

Even though Bevryth would be punished regardless, she would not die at the very least.

After all, her family is still a great contribution to the Dark Elf Kingdom.

"I swear that I'll make her do that, wait for me, Kyran!" Naela replied, bolting out of the room.

Not even looking back, Naela left in a hurry, leaving all of them behind.

General Theodas was surprised by the turn of events, he was not expecting to gain any kind of mercy from Kyran who came here for blood. But as he lifted his gaze to look at Kyran—he stood with his initial assumption.

Just as Naela disappeared, his expression contorted savagely.

"As if Bevryth would do that" Kyran sneered, knowing for sure that Naela would certainly fail.

Kyran stood up and walked towards the main door, not forgetting to use his dark elements to overwhelm Draven's senses, causing his eyes to roll back and pass out, "Make the instruction—lessen the roaming guards this night, let's make room for her escape shall we?"

"A-Are you still going through with this? What about Lady Naela?" General Theodas asked.

Upon hearing this, Kyran paused in his tracks.

He then turned around exposing his face, which was dripping with killing intent, "She's bait. I know from Draven earlier that the family has a formation, that activates, when someone dies in their home territory, teleporting all, Aldri Family members to safety. So, what better way to catch them than through luring them out?"

"What if Lady Naela succeeds? What if Bevryth apologizes?" General Theodas asked again.

If that happened, Kyran would be in a tough spot.

At least with Naela being in the mix.

But this question made Kyran chuckle instead, "She would not apologize—your description of her made it clear already. Even if she did come to apologize nothing would change. Now that she also threatened the Emperor, killing her would be too kind,"

"I'm going to break her..." Kyran's eyes gleamed sinisterly, anticipating meeting Bevryth.
