Chapter 891 Meeting
Panic ensued in the Confederation Alliance. It happened the moment the elder called for an emergency meeting asking all the major forces of the Confederation to join in. and in the span of an hour, the whole of the alliance HQ was in a bustling state never before seen.
The bigshots of different sects and clans joined in, hurriedly teleporting into the HQ, along with a couple of attendants, going up the stairs and shouting out a storm.
Your next journey awaits at empire
So many of them were moving up with haste and worry clear in their eyes until they arrived at the doorstep of a massive door which opened for them.
The attendants were asked to remain outside while the important and prominent figures of the different sects and clans of the confederation alliance were invited inside.
They spread around a massive round table where each of the main leaders of the different sects and clans took a seat, bickering and arguing among each other about the reason they were called.
"Ahem," the elder accompanying Yan Ya and Jian coughed to bring attention to himself.
The table quieted down, and everyone looked up at the elder waiting to hear what he had to say.
"I gathered you here for something important," the elder said as he looked at everyone in the room.
"Hurry Up Elder Yong, we're men of many responsibilities, we don't have time to waste playing around here, tell us why have you gathered us here?" one of the people around the table spoke up.
"I'll get to that immediately," Elder Yong spoke.
"Then hurry up, I heard some bad rumors coming up here, some were saying that the Queen was moving," another said.
"Those aren't rumors," the Elder said.
This simple sentence made everyone's face darken immediately.
"Elder Young, that is not something to joke about!" a man wearing full gold and black robes spoke up.
"When did you ever hear me joke about things like this?" the elder said, "it is true, the Queen is on the move, Jian, share the news you have," the elder said.
Jian moved forward, placed a small jade crystal on the table, and slid it forward.
It stopped immediately when it reached the center of the table and began displaying what was inside it.
From afar, Solarous, the planet showed up as usual, with millions of corpses of rakshasa spread all around it, orbiting the planet, never able to descend nor leave its orbit. Then among the corpses, the two massive First Borns, with size comparable to small moons floated unable to escape the grasp of the God Killing Formation.
None of the people around the table understood the point in this display, this has been the same scenery of Solarous since about two hundred centuries now. Twenty thousand years of idleness. Besides the few hundred years where the entire planet was a sea of flame and fire, now it returned to its normal state, a lush green planet that hid monsters inside it.
"What's new?" the man in black and gold said, "Nothing seemed to have changed," he stated.
"One moment please," Jian said, though he was nothing but a small guard positioned at the advanced scouting post, he was the one who brought this news, so no one said anything to him nor argued why someone of a lowly cultivation base was among them in this meeting.
Suddenly, they could see smoke rising up from the planet, well, it looked like smoke from afar, but after zooming in, it was revealed to be dirt and stone, ruptured out of the crust of the planet and rushed up to the high heavens. Following it, massive membranes rushed out, black as the night and vicious as death itself.
The nightmare of the Confederation and the reason for its creation, the Broodmother. The Queen of the Fallen God race. The reason why the entire population of the Confederation Alliance joined force and spent an incredulous amount of spirit stones to create the mightiest formation to exist so far, sealing the entire planet just because of this thing.
The leaders kept a calm and quiet look on their faces as they watched with attention as another membrane rushed out of the ground.
"What in heaven's name is going on?"
"We didn't know at first," Jian said.
"So you must know? Right?"
"I already came with news about movement around Solarous," Yan Ya said.
The elder gave him a stern look, because if he dared throw him under the bus…
But Yan Ya shook his head, "I came with the news that the planet had been penetrated by strange force, though after investigation the force that came in wasn't from our side, Elder Yong asked me to verify the integrity of this information and report back to him, but before I could even do that, Jian arrived with this jade," Yan Ya lied a bit, and helped the elder who asked him to ignore whatever happened on Solarous.
"I see, so, do you believe that what caused this is the same person or people that infiltrated the perimeter of Solarous?" he asked.
"Not only that, if you zoom in," he said as he pressed his hand forward, causing the jade to emit a closer visual of what happened. They were able to see several people rushing away from the massive tentacle.
One of these people was a woman who harbored enough might and aura that she was easily comparable to any of the people on the table.
"A Sun Stage…" one of the people said. "And not only one, there is a second, and a couple more at the Heaven Stage, who are these people? They can't be no names…"
"No one knows who they are, since we all think that they came in from the vortex at the other side of Solarous," Yan Ya said.
"That's impossible!" the man in gold and black slammed his hands on the table as he rose up, "I personally went through the vortex! There is nothing but endless void there!"
"That's where the first sighting came from, not to mention several hundreds of thousands of Fallen God's race had returned back from inside the vortex. You all remember that not long ago, a major surge of the rakshasa rushed from Solarous to the vortex, including one of the three trapped First Borns," Jian said.
"Indeed, that was good news, since they basically threw themselves into the endless rift, it lowered the population of the Fallen God race,"
"I theorize that they didn't reach the endless void as you once said, but they reached a place of population and they were fought against, not only that, one of those that returned the earliest was a massive Fallen God, a golden capped Noble, and he was bruised up, slashed up and at death's door." Yan Ya declared.
"So you're saying there is culture and people beyond the vortex?" one of the leaders asked.
"That's what we presume, otherwise there is no way for anyone to get inside the formation, not to mention we looked up the people on that jade, they don't belong to any faction of our Confederation, they're all aliens to us."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
This was not good news, not in the least. They just uncovered a different culture that they don't know anything about, and are powerful enough that they brought some elites on their home turf. A Sun Stage is already extremely rare, there are barely a few dozen within the entire Confederation, and these guys just sent two of them just to scout, this might have greater repercussions on the confederation if they are actually hostile.
"What do you suppose we should do?" one of them asked.
"What else, we need to capture them," the Elder said. "Only after capturing them can we understand their intention and where they come from, if they're actually hostile… then we'll have no choice but to eliminate them. Not to mention, they poked a hornet's nest that has been calm for far too long, look," Elder Yong said as they saw the Blue Sun smack down the Queen's tentacle and the other quite familiar armored lady who swung a sword and sliced at the tip of the tentacle.
"They also have the ability to cause damage to that thing, even after researching for tens of thousands of years, we've yet to even incur any significant damage to eve the First Borns, while these newcomers came in and are slicing up the Queen herself. We need to be wary and prepared…"
"Then," the man in black and gold spoke up as he rose up from his seat, "I'll send in a few of my own, if you want to capture any of them I'll do so for you." He said.
"Capture that one," the Elder said as he pointed at the man wearing purple robes. "The one who just grabbed the piece of the queen, we need him and that slice. We never had the chance to experiment fully on the Queen, if we capture him we could get information."
"Shouldn't we capture the Sun stages?" the man in black and white asked.
"No, the Sun Stages are too strong if they want to run away there is no way we can capture them, and the heaven stages, one of them is clearly branded as a slave he'll probably die if we were to capture him, while the others are barely of any relevant cultivation base they must be there just to make the numbers. While that man, he's not too strong and not too weak, and as you can see he's the one shouting the most though we can't hear what's he is saying, he's probably giving orders," the Elder said.
"Then I'll be on it!"
