[Reaper's Call (Conditional Active Skill)

Reaper's Call was a skill that allowed Broken to summon ghostly reaper apparitions to aid him in battle. Each apparition carried 60% of his attack power, a huge boost, even though they only had 30% of his Health and Defense.

Still, with him wearing the full Invincible Paragon armor set, his health values would make the apparitions fairly resilient despite their lower defenses.

While Reaper's Call wasn't ideal for facing Elaine in single combat, it would be invaluable in large-scale battles with multiple enemies. With each ghostly reaper dealing solid damage, he'd gain the edge needed to manage crowds and control the field more effectively.

This scythe skill was shaping up to be a powerful tool for the kinds of high-stakes, massive skirmishes he often found himself in.

Broken began attempting to wield the scythe; its elongated, curved form proved tricky to control at first.

He initially used it mostly for blocking, which wasn't too different from handling a spear. But soon he started incorporating spins to create a larger impact area, adapting to the scythe's unique reach.

It was, in essence, like a spear. Only with an extra-long, curved blade at the end.

Thanks to the weapon's swift movement and high attack speed, he was quickly getting the hang of it.

While defending himself from Elaine's relentless advances, he kept sneaking glances at YouTube videos on scythe techniques, studying every move and attack pattern.

Alora's constant, unrelenting attacks on Elaine from various angles also helped; she kept Elaine on her toes, making it harder for her to target Broken with full force.

"Broken... that's a really cool weapon."

"Yes, but I'm still figuring out how to use it properly, Princess."

"Well, from what I can see, you're getting the basics down. Just focus on positioning, and take advantage of the scythe's reach. You've got a much wider attack area now."

"Thanks. I'm giving it my best shot!"

After several tense moments spent purely on defense, blocking Elaine's relentless attacks without finding any chance to counter, Broken realized that this cramped space was a dead end for them. Continuing to fight here would only drain their Mana and Stamina without making any real progress.

This environment played directly to Elaine's advantage, giving her all the space she needed to maneuver her spider limbs, while limiting their own.

They needed to find a better battleground-one that wouldn't leave them cornered or drained.

"Princess," he called out, "we need to get out of here if we want more room to take her on properly!"

"Very well!" she shouted back. "Let's get moving!"

Alora nodded and quickly signaled to Polly, who dashed over to her. She leapt onto the white fox's back as Elaine lunged forward to attack, her spider legs ready to strike. But Broken intercepted her, using his Moonvine Knuckles to summon vines that wrapped around Elaine, momentarily restraining her and diverting her focus.

He moved swiftly, leading Elaine away from Polly to draw her attention. Once he had her locked onto him, Broken launched a vine from the knuckles, which latched onto Polly's body.

With a powerful pull, Polly yanked him out of Elaine's reach, narrowly avoiding her deadly strike.

Damn, that was close, he thought, catching his breath.

As he expected, Elaine's gaze snapped back to them, her eyes blazing with rage. She saw them as enemies that needed to be eliminated, no matter what it took.

In an instant, Polly shot into the sky, weaving expertly to dodge bursts of magma erupting from the volcano.

Below them, Elaine scrambled desperately up the volcano's rocky side, her five pairs of spider legs clawing and scraping against the wall as she chased after them.

Broken murmured to himself, "I need to spend all the stat points I have right now."

He quickly pulled up his stats display, counting, "Ninety stat points... Alright, to maximize

my damage output, I'll allocate everything to Strength and Intelligence."

He poured the points into these two stats, knowing they'd enhance both his physical attacks and magical abilities, which he'd need if they were going to take down Elaine effectively.

Elaine had already scrambled up the volcano wall with frightening speed, her spider legs propelling her upward, and now she was darting out of the crater, faster than they could have

anticipated.

"She's out already... and she's fast!"

Broken took out both the Golden Bow of Artemis and the Wavebreaker Spear. Without hesitation, he loaded the spear as an arrow into the bow, preparing himself for whatever lay

ahead.

"How did you become so proficient with so many weapons, Broken?"

He shrugged. "Well, I am a blacksmith. Comes with the territory, Princess."

She raised an eyebrow. "No blacksmith I've ever met could compete with me in a fight using a sword, spear, and even a scythe."

"Let's just say I'm a... special blacksmith blessed by the goddess," he replied, smirking.

Alora smiled, amused. "Did you just imply you're a Divine Champion, Broken?"

"No, no, definitely not. And please, believe me on that one."

"Oh, don't worry. I trust you completely."

Broken smiled back, focusing as he charged up the skill, feeling the tension ease just slightly

with their shared banter.

[Explosive Arrow (Active Skill) Lv. 5]

The night sky seemed to tear open as a massive spear descended from behind the clouds, slowly and majestically, while Broken charged up his skill. Elaine had already reached the volcano's summit, unaffected by the intense heat of the magma around her.

"I know this attack might not do significant damage to her," he murmured. "But let's find out just how strong her defenses really are. If even this doesn't faze her, we may need extra help to bring her down."

He sighed, aware that they only had a limited time before Elaine might revert to her normal form. If they missed this chance, the curse would remain, and every Fae would be lost to the

beast transformation.

Polly flapped her wings frantically in the air, holding steady as Broken released the bowstring. The colossal spear shot toward the volcano's peak at breakneck speed, hurtling down on Elaine with devastating force.

The giant spear struck the summit, triggering an enormous explosion that sent shockwaves and magma erupting from the volcano. Broken and Alora shielded their eyes, watching as the thick smoke from the blast slowly cleared.

The rumble of magma grew louder, and now, glowing streams of molten lava began to spill out from the crater, spilling down the sides in fiery rivers.

"Quite an impressive display of power, Broken."

"Yes, and I'm hoping it'll be enough to actually hurt her." Broken held his breath, waiting to see if Elaine had survived the impact.
