Greatest Streamer System

Chapter 267: Chapter 267 – Scrim Start!

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to Flexy channel! We're with me, Grand, and…"

"Nature! This time, we have been given a chance to comment on the Scrim. What do you think, Grand? This is an interesting concept, no? Flexy really blew his money out to prepare for this!"

"Indeed! His preparation is also meticulous. He finished everything in less than a week, it seems. And this concept, which is proposed by Breeze, looks so interesting."

"I have to agree. But, many people are still skeptical as to why they decided to hold this kind of practice match. They said this will expose team weaknesses."

"Haha, let me answer that question. The truth is…"

Two hosts, Grand and Nature, started the stream when the Scrim was about to start. They skillfully led the conversation to introduce Scrim, the benefit, and why it was held, all while pushing Flexy into a higher moral ground to increase his popularity.

Something like this was too much for a Scrim. Even Max was surprised that the preparation was just like that of an official tournament instead of just a normal practice match.

'The rich are different.' He thought as he looked at Flexy standing in front of him.

They were waiting to enter the arena with other players. Naturally, their team was on the frontmost row. And as Lily was a reserve member, she wasn't among the line and had to watch from the spectator seat.

'And I just noticed because it wasn't there earlier, but…'

His eyes drafted on the stage. Floating in the air just right above it was a Spencer Company logo, a white heron inside a perfect circle.

And sitting on the VIP seat was none other than StoneSword. He was accompanied by a beautiful woman with blonde hair tied in ringlets. They seemed to have a pleasant conversation, and the former had a rare smile on his face.

'He didn't want to join and chose to become a sponsor instead, huh?' A smile crept onto Max's face. 'So his business in this city is a date with his fiancée and watching this Scrimmage. What a difficult brother he is.'

At that moment, the hosts finished the idle chats. A staff member with an earphone was notified. He nodded before looking at Flexy.

"Please be ready anytime."

"Alright."

A simple confirmation was the answer. After that, he distributed a vial filled with red liquid to each member behind him.

"You can drink it. It's a B-Grade nutritional supplement." Flexy said as he handed the vial to Max.

Max's eyes widened in surprise, filled with gratitude.

"Flexy, are you an angel?" Max asked curiously as he gazed at his friend. Right now, he was shining brightly… But that was just his imagination. The light came from the light behind him. Still, that didn't decrease any meaning of his words.

"Hehe, you can pray to me." Flexy snorted and rubbed his nose. "While I said that, those things are from StoneSword. Say thank you to him later."

"Hmm, so Stonie decided to get involved? I bet it's because Lily joined our team." Ferin commented and drank the B-Grade nutritional supplement without hesitation.

The others also did the same, including Max. The refreshing and powerful feeling he felt before when drinking the same supplement was there, although it felt weaker than before. Still, he felt like he could do better.

When Max looked back, the other teams apparently also drank nutritional supplements, although the one they drank was that of C-Grade, which cost $2,000 each.

'They are serious about this Scrim.'

All teams Flexy warned them about were put in this first group. The orange-haired streamer abused his privilege to let them experience the opponents that could put them in danger early on.

Even if it wasn't an official match, the broadcast now had more than 150K viewers. It was the best time to promote their teams to the sponsors.

"Now, let's welcome the first group with cheers and applause!"

"Please enter now!" The staff standing near the entrance instructed while waving his hand.

With Flexy as the lead, everyone entered the hall and stepped onto the stage. Max put on a smile and waved at the camera as they went to their capsules located in the middle. Once again, he abused the privilege as the host of this event and looked proud of it.

The players, who were previously informed about it, stood in front of their respective capsules and checked them to ensure everything was perfectly fine. Some fiddled with the settings to make them fit their requirements.

After everything was ready, everyone climbed inside and wore a helmet. The capsules closed with a whirring sound. The players prepared to dive inside the game.

Meanwhile, the hosts took the scene again.

"Now, Nature. Who do you think will win? Personally, I think team MiceMice would win this first game."

"Oh? Why do you think so? Let's hear your answer first before I tell you what my favorite team is."

"It's pretty simple, actually. Team MiceMice has shown a considerable result in their practice match and last competition. They already have the experience, and LandLord24's skill has increased considerably. I believe they are unbeatable now!"

"That's interesting. And I don't think your view is wrong. LandLord24 is indeed a skilled player. He currently has 9372 MMR in Roach Planet, the highest among all players. As a professional, that's something to boast about. Not many dedicated themselves to ranked games, after all."

"Right? That's why I think Team Mice Mice will win."

"I don't think so, Grand,"

Nature smirked, her beautiful face had a hint of a fangirl written all over it.

"I think Team OrangeSquash has a higher chance to win. Not only is Flexy a good leader, as proved many times before, but their members are also skilled! There is Breeze and the crazy couple, Ferin and Atlas."

"However, they have no prior experience against professional players, and their teams have only been reformed lately. Will they be okay?"

"I am confident they will win. But, to be honest, I don't know the end result. Why don't we just watch the game?"

"That's right. The players have also been transported to the arena. 3 minutes before the first wave arrived, let me tell you the rules of this match. Unlike normal and ranked matches, the tournament uses a point system. A team with the highest annihilation and survival points will receive 5 points.

"The second to fifth will receive 4, 3, 2, and 1, respectively. We will repeat this for 3 games while shuffling the teams between groups, as this is a practice match, not a real tournament."

"Is there no difference inside the game itself?"

"Of course, there is a difference. And that's the tactic used by players. They will be meticulous and try to outwit the other teams with their strategies! This will be interesting to watch."

"That's right!" Nature exclaimed loudly. But then, she saw something on the screen. "Oh, look at that! It seems Team OrangeSquash made a move before the first wave even started. From the nickname… It's Breeze! He's going out of the base!

What is he planning?"

"I don't know. But let's watch it together! We will comment every now and then, so look forward to it!"

Unlike the host, who knew nothing, those who watched Max before commented.

— Classic Breeze

— I bet he wants to kill someone

— Will he be able to destroy a base as a surprise

— Go go go, Breeze! You can do it, Breeze!

— Breeze is overrated! Go away, nerds!

— Huh? You are overrated! Your mom is overrated! Go back to your womb, fetus!

This Scrim would definitely be interesting for both players and the viewers. It would be filled with an unhinged chaos.
