Chapter 79 Round 2, Alex Versus Spider Queen
The doors creaked open as Alex and Alice stepped into the [Queen's Chamber].
Dim light filtered through layers of thick webs, revealing a sprawling cavern with the massive, looming form of the Spider Queen at the center.
Her obsidian eyes glistened, and her mandibles clicked, echoing through the eerie silence.
"Here we go," Alex murmured, activating his [Aura of Death] skill.
Dark energy radiated from him, wrapping his undead forces in a sinister glow, doubling their strength and tripling their defense for 30 seconds.
The Spider Queen's shriek signaled the start of the battle, and Alex's undead army surged forward.
The queen retaliated with long, deadly legs, smashing through the first ranks of skeletons with ease, her strikes powerful enough to send bones flying across the room.
From above, hundreds of smaller spiders began to drop, summoned by the queen to overwhelm the intruders.
But Alex's undead intercepted them, their enhanced strength allowing them to mow down the smaller spiders.
Every time an undead died, Alex would almost instantly summon it back.
Meteoric Blaze! Crimson Spike! Rock Crash! Fire Vortex! Thunderclap Bolt!
He would send spell after spell, the reduced cost allowing him to do so without even caring.
Whether he hit the wall, the queen, or even some of his undead warriors, it didn't matter.
Every time his [Aura of Death] would disappear, his skeletons would slowly get overwhelmed.
But after a minute, he would use it again, using a massive amount of mana to help out his troops.
SLASH! BOOM! FWISH!
The [Grand Skeletons] would destroy everything in their way using their [Spider Swords].
The [Bony Knights] would charge in, killing spiders one after the other.
And the [Spectral Wraiths] would hide away, slashing any spider they could see.
The master and mother of all these spiders, the [Spider Queen] stood back and went up using one of her threads, observing the situation from above.
The Spider Queen's gaze shifted, her countless eyes glinting with a sinister intelligence.
"A human dares to enter my nest," the spider queen laughed, "All of those that tried to save their friends before have died, you won't be different."
Instinctively, Alex looked toward where the fox tribe princess was.
She was looking directly at him, eyes full of hope.
Alex nodded, "You took me by surprise once, it won't happen again."
"Let's see."
She raised a clawed leg and slammed it down, sending a shockwave across the cavern.
The impact forced even Alex's reinforced undead to stagger.
Alex steadied himself and glanced at the queen's abdomen, where a faint mark flickered.
"Huh?"
Ding!
[Cursed Eyes of the King activated.]
[Displaying weak point.]
An arrow appeared in Alex's vision, pointing toward the small mark, pulsing with a faint red glow.
"There you are," he muttered, locking onto his target. Continue your adventure at m|v-l'e-NovelFire

[Level: 200]
[HP: 1,250,000]
[Skills: Venom Blast, Wrath of the Broodmother, Shadow Bind, Queen's Rage, Poison Mist]
...
The queen suddenly screeched, her voice rising into an earsplitting pitch that sent chills down his spine.
With that signal, another wave of spiders rained from above, a mixture of small attackers and armored soldiers, far tougher than the earlier swarm.
His remaining undead turned to face them, but Alex knew they wouldn't last long without his intervention.
He tried his best to throw every spell he could, but the cooldown he was placed on between each one was making it difficult.
More and more undead were falling, and at this rate he wasn't recovering them fast enough to keep summoning.
"Fool," the queen spider laughed from above, untouched by any of Alex's attacks.
The first time around, it simply just came down to kill Alex and his undead, yet now, it stood up, not going down at all.
Why is that?
"Well..." Alex heard a voice behind him, and Alphox, the [Primordial Shadow Dragon], materialized out of nowhere, "It just means that you became powerful enough for her to fear you could do damage, doesn't it?"
The dragon laughed, and what it said actually made sense.
The first time, it was confident it could kill Alex, so it did that immediately.
But now, because of his growing army and powerful spells, she actually feared for her life.
This meant that Alex actually had a chance!
"ALRIGHT!" Alex laughed, Alphox's appearance actually hyping him up.
"Well, I'm bored, so I'll help you," Alphox shrugged and spread his wings, flying toward the queen.
Both were level 200, so it was a fair fight between two high tier 4 monsters.
Alphox didn't waste time, striking the queen in the abdomen, then cutting off the thick thread that was holding her up.
Fwish!
-73,834!
Alphox's damage was incredible, and it was obvious he was much stronger than the spider queen.
Without wasting time, the [Shadow Dragon] unleashed his [Shadow Flames] skill.
Alphox's black flames blazed across the chamber, clearing out every remaining spider in a devastating wave.
The last of Alex's undead soldiers crumbled under the intense heat, leaving only him, Alice and the Spider Queen amid the scorched remnants.
"W-What the hell?!" Alice was confused, didn't the dragon hate Alex?
Alex felt a surge of exhilaration; with his army gone, this battle had become a true test of his skills.
He tightened his grip on [Whispers of Shadow], his dagger thrumming with dark energy.
The [Spider Queen] on the other hand got up, locking her eyes on Alex too.
"Don't disappoint me," Alphox smirked, withdrawing to let Alex take the final stand alone.
"Wouldn't dream of it," Alex replied, a fierce grin breaking across his face.
He dashed forward, his dagger poised, using [Shadow Strike] the moment he was at a close distance.
He swung at the abdomen, which was still faintly glowing thanks to his [Eyes of the Cursed King].
SLASH!
[Weakness hit, dealing 300% of damage.]
-91,875!
"FOOOOOL!" the queen actually felt the damage this time, her eyes blazing with fury as she swung her claws at the human.
Every movement of the Spider Queen was fast and lethal, each swipe or thrust threatening to end the battle.
Alex moved like shadow itself, slipping through gaps in her attacks, striking and retreating with practiced precision.
While avoiding, he would keep throwing spells to deal passive damage.
And when he got close enough, he would activate [Rending Slash], feeling the familiar surge as his blade carved through her weakened carapace, amplifying the damage.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
-15750! -47250! -15750!
The queen's health bar dipped with every strike, but she retaliated with relentless fury.
Poison mist billowed from her, but just like always, the [Poison Resistance] buff completely dulled the effect.
She lashed out with a venomous claw, which grazed his arm, sending searing pain through him.
-8,384!
The damage was big, even with his extremely high physical resistance.
Alex gritted his teeth, his health bar dropping but his resolve unshaken.
"DEATH CALL," Alex shouted, and the undead king materialized above him.
"Hm?"
"TAKE CARE OF HER!" he pointed at the spider queen, and the king just nodded.
He rushed toward the massive spider, locking her in place using dozens of skeletons hands he summoned from the ground.
In her desperation, the queen raised herself high and slammed down with all her weight, cracking the stone and hands beneath her.
But it was already over at this point.
Alex focused his energy, drawing on [Shadow Strike] one last time, his agility allowing him to dash toward her.
With every ounce of strength, he plunged his dagger straight into her weak point, channeling the power of [Whispers of Shadows] into a critical blow.
-91,875!
The Spider Queen let out one final, ear-piercing shriek.
Her body quivered and collapsed, her colossal form slumping into the cracked stone.
Alex panted, steadying himself as the massive creature lay still.
