The status panel appeared before my eyes. Then my eyes started to go through the details. Seeing that the mana core progression, I sighed inwardly.

Because the mana core progression is happening slowly. Which left me no choice other than to continue to participate in the Wizard Heart Competition.

Otherwise, considering the threat looming over my head. I would have quit the competition right now.

The hotel is a few distance away from the duel arena building. But I know well that there are killers waiting for me.

I saw one or two people coming out of the hotel building. If I'm right, they are going to the arena building to watch the duel.

My eyes then swept across the gate where I saw those people last night.

The mechanic's voice sounded in my mind all of a sudden. The next second, I retreated backwards away from the edge of the wall.

"Sure, there are wolves around waiting to bite me down," I said to myself.

At the same time, down below. The Shadow Skull Killer sensed something and looked towards the rooftop of the building.

"Hey, did you see something?" the tall killer next to him asked.

"No, I thought someone was looking over us," He replied.

"Wait, others are spying on the arena building. We will be called upon soon," The tall killer said.

"Yeah, the target is going to participate in today's competition," He answered.

But they didn't know they had really missed the target just now.

Meanwhile,

On the rooftop, I looked at the time. There is not much time left before the start of the competition. Only 15 minutes left.

I can't be lucky like yesterday. Today is the 3rd stage of the competition. All eight of the level-5 Wizards have to fight.

So I can't miss the competition today. What to do? If I go outside, I will be spotted by the level-8 wizards.

I can fly towards the arena building directly from here. But the killers can easily spot me up in the air. Then it will be easier for them to shoot me down.

He was happy that Vincent was alive and kicking. But he is also thinking about the competition. Their Yellow River Academy got only 2 students in the 3rd stage.

Which other 2 academies have 3 students participating in the 3rd stage. So they have more chances of advancing into the final than the Yellow River Academy.

If it was normal competition between the academy. He wouldn't mind them skipping it. But the winner of the competition will get additional benefits apart from winning the final prize.

He hopes that Mike Curtis or Vincent Carey will get the final prize. If not it would be a huge loss to their Yellow River Academy.

Suddenly, he thought of something.

"Should I advise Mike Curtis to be serious?" He said in his heart.

He doesn't know what the council elders of the Taboo Hall are doing. They all listen to the powerhouse of the Taboo Hall who is a controversial figure as well.

He hopes that Mike Curtis won't hurt the interest of the academy.
